I. Tóm tắt ngữ pháp:

1. Cấu trúc:

Câu khẳng định

S + am / is / are + V-ing

Ví dụ: I am cooking dinner.

Câu phủ định

S + am / is / are + not + V-ing

Ví dụ: I am not cooking dinner.

Ví dụ:

Câu nghi vấn

Am / Is / Are + S + V-ing

Ví dụ: Are you cooking dinner?

2. Sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn trong trường hợp nào?

2.1. Diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói

Ví dụ: The boys are doing their homework right now.

2.2. Hành động đang xảy ra xung quanh thời điểm nói

Ví dụ: What book are you doing in English at the moment.

2.3. Tình huống tạm thời và chuỗi hành động

Ví dụ: We aren't having any exams while the lecturers are still on strike.

2.4. Tính huống đang thay đổi và phát triển

Ví dụ: More and more people are recognising the advantages of being able to speak a foreign language.
